The Darlington American Legion Post 214 has a cage for the collection of aluminum cans. The money raised from the collection of the aluminum goes towards its Building Fund. The membership has voted to improve the parking lot on the north side of the post and the money raised will goes towards the new project. Pictured is Post 214 member Dave Gough, who moves the aluminum cans from the bags they come in into heavier bags for transport to sites that take aluminum. Anyone can drop off bags of aluminum at the Legion site to help the Building Fund, but the post wanted to emphasize only bringing in aluminum.
