Alpine music set at Turner Hall

MONROE - Turner Hall of Monroe's 2008 Swiss Heritage Series is pleased to present a program of authentic alpine folklore music by button accordion artist, Peggy Mueller, of Germantown at 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 15 in the Grand Hall of Turner Hall.

The granddaughter of Austrian immigrants, Mueller studied in California and Germany, and is on the teaching staff of a noted button accordion camp in Norden, Calif. Her hectic performance schedule includes frequent performances at the Von Rothenburg Bier Stube in Germantown, as well as at Milwaukee's Germanfest and with the Dorf Kapelle Band, a well-known Bavarian band from Wisconsin. She has also recorded her music.

Admission is $7, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Located two blocks south of the downtown Square near the Monroe Middle School, the Turner Hall of Monroe is smoke-free and handicapped-accessible. More information is available atwww.TurnerHallofMonroe.org
