JUDA - The Juda Zion United Methodist Church has been celebrating its 150th year with a series of special events. In January, Bishop Hee-Soo Jung spoke on the organization of the congregation in 1847. To commemorate the part that music has played in the history of the church, a special all-music worship service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the church, N2350 Church St., Juda.

With the theme "Recounting Blessings through Music," the program will feature the senior choir, directed by Shelly Jordan, the bell chair, directed by JoAnn Eberle, and the children's choir, directed by Aurora Daniels. Piano/organ duets also will be included in the service, along with historical monologues of former members.

Hymns written through the decades will be sung, with audience participation on many of the familiar words. Historical items will be displayed throughout the church, including an old German hymnal and choir photos.
