ALBANY - Albany Parent Teacher Organization has partnered with teachers to help support their Terracycle recycling efforts.
Terracycle is trying to "eliminate the idea of waste" by recycling items that are typically non-recyclable. The school collects the items and ships them to Terracycle for reimbursement.
To date, Albany has recycled more than 100,000 units and earned more than $2,000.
To help these efforts, any of the following items may be sent to the school: foil-lined granola and cereal bars, squeezable snack pouches (like GoGo squeeZ), cereal bags and bag liners, personal care items (like hair care, skin care, cosmetics and toothpaste), writing instruments and aluminum drink pouches.
