ALBANY - The Albany Middle School Student Council fundraising began September 16 and runs through October 20. Check out Uncle Jerry's T's fundraising merchandise from any Albany Middle School Student Council member. Student Council officers are: Julia Farley, president; Cassidy Bump, vice president; and Ashlee Berra, secretary.
The Albany Middle School Student Council contributes to several activities throughout the school year, for example:
Red Ribbon Week, "We have pride in our country, our state and ourselves," is a week designated to being drug free. Students sign a "Drug Free" pledge and receive a red "Drug Free" bracelet. The week's activities include:
Monday - "We Have Pride in our Country." Wear red, white and blue
Tuesday - "We Have Pride in our State." Wear Packer or Badger attire.
Wednesday - We Love our Fall Wisconsin Weather- Pride Picnic." Wear picnic attire (hats and sunglasses).
Thursday - "We Have Pride in our School." Wear Comet attire.
Friday - "We have Pride in Ourselves." Wear red.
Four middle school (grades six through eight) dances- Halloween, Holiday, Valentine's Day, and end of the year
Teacher Appreciation Week: Acknowledge all (5-8) middle school students' birthdays i.e. cards and candy.
