ALBANY — Beckett Wachholz, Alex Koepp, Emerson Briggs, Ty Durtschi, Shaeden Boss and Lydia Ahnen participated in the fourth and fifth grade Math 24 competition on March 19. The competition was held at the Union South on the UW-Madison campus. Students competed in four, 15-minute rounds to find the fastest 24 sums. Students must state their solution followed by the process they used to solve it.

Fifth grade students had an added challenge of having to come up with a missing variable to make both sides of the card equal 24.

All students did a great job and represented Albany well. Alex Koepp had the most points for the Albany’s fifth grade and Ty Durtschi for the most points for Albany’s fourth grade.
