Albany group to unveil banners Sunday

ALBANY - Albany Community1st will hold a reception for the public from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St., Albany, to unveil more than 30 light pole banners sewn this spring by community volunteers. The banners feature quilted patterns akin to Green County's barn quilts. After their display at the library, the banners will be positioned individually at each downtown Albany light pole along Water Street and over the Sugar River Bridge on Wisconsin 59 before Albany's annual Memorial Day weekend celebration, Yesteryears, organized by the Albany Chamber of Commerce.
