ALBANY - Baccalaureate means a farewell address delivered to a graduating class and has commonly been referred to as a religious service.
Baccalaureate will again be offered in Albany. The service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at the Albany United Methodist Church, 105 S. Mill St., Albany. It is a chance for the graduating class, along with the community, to join together for a worship service, to thank God for these youth, and to celebrate their future.
The worship service will include contemporary Christian music, an uplifting message for the students, and a time of refreshments for all attending. The graduating seniors will be invited to sit together.
The Albany United Methodist Church will host this service. This ecumenical service will be rotated and shared among the churches.
