MONROE - The Aging and Disability Resource Center will host a free workshop on financial scams from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the United Methodist Church, 2227 4th St.

Items that will be discussed include:

• The 10 most popular scams targeting seniors.

• Eight ways to protect yourself.

• What to do if you've been scammed.
