WHITEWATER — Addie Rosheisen, a Early Childhood Education major from Brodhead was one of more than 70 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater students who participated in the university’s ULEAD initiative, completing leadership, career, and life skills training while learning the Whitewater campus and its opportunities to get involved.

The event, which took place August 27-30, is for students in their first year at UW-Whitewater who expressed interest in getting involved and succeeding on campus. Programming for ULEAD included developing a first-year success plan, making connections with peers, faculty, and staff, learning about ethical leadership, and engaging in a community service project.

UW-Whitewater’s Student Activities and Involvement helps students build skills and learn beyond the classroom through student organization, Greek life, community service and leadership programs, and more.
