WAVERLY, Iowa - Wartburg College recognized student researchers at the annual Excellence in Teaching and Scholarship Convocation April 8.
Students who completed extensive research in all academic fields were honored by faculty and staff. Students conducted research while at Wartburg and have presented their findings at conferences and meetings.
Mark Schultz, senior, biochemistry and biology major, son of Frank and Lynn Schultz of South Wayne, completed the project "DNA Damage Causes TTF2 to Enter the Nucleus of Cervical Cancer Cells" with Dr. David H. Price, professor of biochemistry at the University of Iowa at the school's Interdisciplinary Summer Undergraduate Research Program.
