IOWA CITY, Iowa - Maria Fernan Larraga Martinez, a University of Iowa student from Monroe, was named to the university's president's list for the fall 2015 semester.
In order to be included on the president's list, a student must have a minimum 4.0 grade point average (4.0 is an A) in all academic subjects for the preceding two semesters, with a total of at least 12 semester
hours of credit per semester during that period.
In addition, the following local students have been named to the University of Iowa's dean's list for the 2015 fall semester: John Murphy of Blanchardville; Mollie Bazley and Maria Fernan Larraga Martinez of Monroe; and Emily Frankowski of Monticello.
