Cody Carpenter, a member of the Wiota Happy Hour 4-H Club and a student at Darlington High School, has won the Lafayette County 4-H Crowley Leadership Award for 2008.
As a county winner, Carpenter received a commemorative engraved medallion and the chance to compete for state-level awards.
Carpenter was selected for his outstanding accomplishments in Lafayette County. He is a 9-year veteran of the Wiota Happy Hour 4-H Club, and has served in several leader roles in the club. He is involved in the 4-H Ambassadors and is a role model and leader for the club, community of Darlington and county.
