Abraham, Carpenter get scholarships

MOUNT HOREB - Premier Cooperative awarded fourteen $500 scholarships at its annual meeting. The high school senior recipients represented 11 different school districts within Premier's trade area. Each applicant was required to submit a 250 word essay on the "importance of cooperatives in rural America," which were read aloud at the meeting. In addition, the applicant's family had to be an active member of Premier Cooperative.

Recipients included: Alex Abraham, Black Hawk High School and Cody Carpenter, Darlington High School.

With facilities in 15 southwestern Wisconsin communities, Premier supplies feed, agronomy, grain, propane, petroleum, convenience stores, auto/truck repair, lumber, and home improvement solutions for its customers.
