Fifth-grade student Lillian Plourde was selected to help the library specialist for 15 minutes check in and check out books.

The school year is off to a great start at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Monroe.

Students have already started receiving “Pride Paws” for being respectful, responsible and safe. Pride Paws are a form of recognition that students receive for making positive choices throughout the day. Pride Paws are collected once a week and one student from each grade level is selected to choose a prize. Some prizes include wearing a hat for a day, having lunch with a buddy, homework pass and helping the Library Specialist for 15 minutes.
