6 students receive Breadon scholarships

MONROE - On behalf of the Green County Medical Society, Dr. George Breadon, M.D., FACS, treasurer, recently presented six $500 scholarships, from the Gavin Breadon Memorial Scholarship Fund, to Green County medical students.Those receiving scholarships included:• Chris Kleppe, son of Gary and Debra Kleppe, is a 2001 graduate of Monroe High School and a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 with a double major in genetics and bacteriology, followed by an masters in 2007 in physiology and biophysiology from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. He has just completed his freshman year at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Midwestern University, Illinois.• Lindsey Runaas, daughter of Jim and Georgia Runaas, Albany. She is a 2002 graduate of Albany High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Ithaca College, New York in 2006, and she has just completed her junior year at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison.
