SOUTH WAYNE - Any child who will be age 4 on or before Sept. 1 is eligible to attend 4-year-old Kindergarten (4K) at Black Hawk schools. Screening dates for 4K are Tuesday and Wednesday, May 26 and May 27.
Appointments for screening should be made by April 9 by calling Diane at the elementary office, 439-5444. There are a limited number of children in each session.
On the day of the screening, parents should bring the child's social security number, immunization records and birth certificate to verify birth date and legal name.
If you plan to have your child attend 5-year-old kindergarten and they did not go to 4K at Black Hawk, call the school to register them.
