The Next Generation 4-H Club participated in the nationwide project “4-H Has Heart” which was the creation of Grace Hobbs a 4-H member from Shawnee, Okla. The challenge inspired 15,165 students to sign up representing All 50 states and groups in Canada. They pledged over 36,701 Valentines would be delivered to Nursing Home Residents, Assisted Living Facilities, Meals on Wheels, Shut Ins, and Veterans by Valentines Day. The club pledged 100 home made Valentine cards which were delivered on Feb. 13, to the Pleasant View Nursing Home in time for the resident Valentine Party.
