WHITEWATER - Four local students received scholarships from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Those receiving a scholarship from the College of Arts and Communication are Toni Gerner from Belleville and Emily Roska from New Glarus, who both are studying music and were awarded the Gala Concert Scholarship.
The following students received a scholarship from the College of Letters and Sciences: Sydney Rakestraw from Albany, who is studying English, was awarded the Kristine Grimsrud Memorial Scholarship, and Kayla Bruehlman from Argyle, who is studying English, was awarded the Corinne E. Forster Scholarship for Creative Writing.
