BELLEVILLE - Belleville Fire will celebrate its 100th anniversary on Saturday, June 23 with a day-long event that includes free events for children and adults.

Highlighting the celebration will be a parade of antique and new fire apparatus beginning at 1 p.m. The New Glarus Ladder Company and several honored department retirees will be featured. A commemoration ceremony will be held immediately after the parade at the fire station.

All activities will take place in Belleville Library Park directly across from the fire station or in the station itself, 31 East Main St. There will be exhibits in the station all day and commemorative items for purchase.

Events throughout the day include children's activities for various ages, fire truck rides, food stands, water fights, a beer tent from 3 to 10 p.m., music by Greenfield Brothers from 3 to 5 p.m., and music featuring Summer Haze from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Departments intending on bringing apparatus to the parade are asked to RSVP by Thursday, May 31. Apparatus entered in the parade are asked to be in Belleville by noon on June 23 and assemble at the Belleville Middle School parking lot which is directly along Wisconsin 69. This will help event organizers plan the parade and facilitate unit parking after the parade.
