MONROE - The third annual "10 Grand in Your Hand" is officially under way and tickets are on sale now. The Family Promise of Green County fundraiser will begin at 6 p.m. June 16 at the Monroe Den, 1506 31st Ave., Monroe.
The menu will consist of pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, veggies, dessert and a beverage selection of beer, wine, soda and water. Each ticket includes drinks and food for two. Last year, this event raised over $16,000.
Tickets cost $100, and only 250 will be sold. Tickets will be drawn throughout the evening, and every 10th ticket wins a prize worth at least $100. The last ticket drawn wins $10,000. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
