To the Editor:

Monroe School District Residents,

Regarding the March 8th Monroe School District Land Vote for New School Building Site.

Regardless of how you feel about the ongoing lawsuit on referendum, this vote will not change the status of that lawsuit.

This vote should be a vote about if this property is or is not your first choice of a building site.

Some individuals are making this vote about the referendum as a whole, it is not.

The fact is that while there is an ongoing lawsuit, it is unwise to have this vote at all and then be committed to this purchase.

Also know that voting down this site in the first vote does not eliminate it from contention, it simply allows time for the court to weigh in on the matter.

I encourage you to vote your conscience.
