To the Editor:

Our capital campaign, “Let’s Do Something Extraordinary for Monroe” has come to a close, and we continue to be overwhelmed by our community’s generosity. We exceeded our goal of $1.5 million which will allow us to cover any additional costs and develop a fund to maintain the library to ‘state-of-the-art’ standards.  Our building committee is taking shape to iron out the final details in construction plans. Renovations will begin soon. 

We wish to acknowledge donors inadvertently left off our earlier published list, as well as recognize those whose donations reached us in recent weeks. We sincerely appreciate all our donors and campaign volunteers — great things are on the horizon for the Monroe Public Library!
