To the editor:

It is a time of year to reflect back and give thanks. We would like to give a huge thank you to all of our supporters who attended one of our events, made a donation, or shared a story with us on your journey after losing a loved one. Jacob's SWAG Foundation has touched many lives and we are so grateful for your love and support.

In 2016 we were able to place Buddy Benches in nine area elementary schools. We supported workshops for adults on suicide prevention, bullying, making good life choices and mental health. We also were able to help some graduating seniors with scholarships. We partnered with six school districts on additional programs, providing education and support within their schools. We were grateful and honored to co-sponsor Kyle Scheele, who spoke to nine school districts, middle and high school students, just under 4,000 students, about leaving a positive mark on your community, just what he did. We co-sponsored the third annual Angels Among Us of Green County, a magical event which brings our communities together for remembrance and support.

In 2017 we will again co-sponsor with Tyler's TEAM Foundation a motivational speaker. Scott Backovich is nationally recognized and will give his presentation to 10 area schools on Feb. 13-17. Our two foundations will combine to host our Angels Among Us 5K or 1 mile run/walk on April 22. This event is family-friendly and is an opportunity to remember loved ones that have been lost to suicide or to support those who continue to struggle. Once again we will be holding our annual fundraiser rummage sale which will take place in August.

From our foundation to you, thank you for believing in us and your continued support.
