Letter to the editor: Pray on Election Day

To the editor:

I have one request for people of voting age. When you wake up on Nov. 8, I want you to pray. I want you to pray and ask for guidance. God is here for all of us. If you think he doesn't care for us, just think about the beautiful land he gave us - the mountains, the prairie, the oceans white with foam. That's from Irving Berlin's song "God Bless America."

Sometimes there are injustices in our world. Take them to God and leave them there. Your job is to select a president. You don't know what choice to make? God does. Because, like you, he loves America so put your trust in God.

Look at the blue sky. Look at the beautiful turning leaves. What a place he has created for us. It is ours. It is his gift. Whose hands are you going to put all this beauty into? That's the question you must ask yourself.

Thank God for all this beauty and then pray like you have never prayed before. Believe in what God tells you and you will do the right thing.
