Help area restaurants help Relay for Life

Did you know that this year 164 of your family, friends, and neighbors in Green County were diagnosed with cancer? Would you like to help them in a very simple way? By purchasing a meal on Wednesday, May 27, you can help improve the quality of someone's life as they fight against cancer or help fund research.

This is the fourth year for the "Take a Bite Out of Cancer" campaign. Green County restaurants participate to help with this cause; they donate a portion of this day's proceeds to The American Cancer Society's Green County Relay For Life. So please eat out at the following: Culver's of Monroe, Ludlow Bar, Papa Murphy's Pizza, Suisse Haus, Swiss Alps in Monroe; M&M Cafe, Monticello; and Glarner Stube, New Glarus Hotel and Restaurant, Puempels Olde Tavern and Subway in New Glarus.

We should be very proud of all participating businesses for their willingness to be part of this event. Please say thank you to them when you see them on Wednesday, May 27.

We also want to invite everyone to the Green County Relay, held June 26-27 at the Monroe High School track, to help celebrate the 25th year of the Relay nationwide. Come and be part of the celebration, while honoring those with cancer and their families. Be part of the silent auction, dessert auction, children's activities, and walk the track to see how we honor those with cancer with luminarias. Also at the Relay you'll find information to help lower the far-too-high number of 164.
