If youve check out our photo galleries on this site lately, you might have noticed that weve been doing weekly galleries of various news and sports photos published in our newspaper.

Until recently, the only photo galleries weve done online have been driven by events or assignments. When a photographer has come back from an assignment with multiple photos some of which dont get published in our newspaper because of a lack of space weve done a photo gallery. These galleries remain on our site for many weeks, and each photo contains a convenient link to our order form if you wish to purchase the picture.

But other photos that are posted online in stories, or at the top of a page do not get the same, larger display. Some photos are removed as soon as a day later, and then no longer are on our site, even in archives.

So a few weeks ago we began creating weekly photo galleries, so that those photos we want posted to the site remain there, in a larger size, for longer and it is more convenient for visitors to order the photos if they wish.
