Shullsburg opened the scoring in the first inning, scoring one run off Wiota starter Taylor Wiegel. The Indians answered with three runs in the bottom of the second, but Shullsburg pushed their lead to 9-3 going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That was when the Indians turned things around.

On the mound, Wiegel pitched three innings and allowed nine runs on nine hits and four walks. Wiegel was relieved by Jason Singer, who went three innings and gave up one run on two hits and a walk while striking out three.
