PLATTEVILLE - Jen Wellnitz said she would have been happy winning two titles in Monday's Six Rivers Conference track and field championships.

Instead, the Black Hawk sophomore rolled to four individual victories, scoring 40 points and leading the Warriors to a third-place finish in the girls standings at UW-Platteville.

In the boys meet, Albany freshman Brennan Bloedel led a top-three sweep in the 3,200 meters to help propel the Comets to third place for the top finish among the area contingent.

Wellnitz expected to sweep the 100 and 200 titles, which she did in 12.78 and 27.01 seconds, respectively.

"If I didn't, I was going to be mad," she said. "I was surprised I won the long jump and triple jump as well. I just haven't been doing real well. I don't know what I did different tonight."

Wellnitz went a personal-best 16 feet, 2 3/4 inches in the long jump and added a 32-4 3/4 in the triple jump.

Black Hawk also scored solid points with a trio of third-place finishes in the relays. The 3,200 relay team of Katie Powers, Olivia Holland, Brittany Klemm and Kristen Walters finished in 11:30.42, the 1,600 squad of Michelle Flanagan, Mikayla Sigafus, Holland and Kate Quinn in 4:37.07 and the 400 unit of Angel Paul, Sigafus, Emily Jones and Taylor Werren posting a 57.27.

Holland added a third-place finish in the 300 hurdles in 49.07 for the Warriors, who finished with 92 points to tie with Benton-Scales Mound. River Ridge won with 137 and Belmont had 100. Pecatonica-Argyle was fifth (90) followed by Albany (54), Cassville (52), Monticello (50) and Shullsburg (2).

Albany sophomore Bailey Hlavachek duplicated the distance sweep from her freshman season, winning the 800 (2:31.71), the 1,600 (5:35.71) and the 3,200 (13:15.95).

"She won all three last year and to do it a second year, you can't take that for granted. You've got to do it," Albany coach Tony Brewer said. "I thought she competed well. She ran a good mile and she had to because (Pecatonica-Argyle's) Kendra Sigg was pushing her."

Sigg was second in the 800 (2:36.12) and the 1,600 (5:37.45).

Albany's Jessica Mauerman finished third in the 400 (1:05.99) and the pole vault (7-0).

Albany's Bloedel forced a fast pace and finished the 3,200 in 10:48.43, leading teammates Jose Ramirez (10:55.81) and Aaron Johnson (10:59.11) to the top-three sweep.

"I told him to go out and push the pace because some of these other guys had run in the 800 and that if it was slow, they'd be licking their chops," Brewer said.

Pecatonica-Argyle's Wyatt Massey won the 800 in 2:04.27, but Albany scored big points when Reece Whitehead was second (2:04.75) and Ramirez was third (2:07.44). Ramirez also was third in the 1,600 (4:46.05) and teammate Gavin Ruef was third in the high jump (6-0).
