SOUTH WAYNE - Many wrestlers force themselves to drop weight and are expected to resist craving certain foods. Black Hawk senior Tyler Quinn didn't have to worry about what he was eating. Quinn had to gain weight for the season opener Tuesday night against Edgerton. Quinn, who usually wrestles at 189 pounds, was bumped up to the heavyweight division. He didn't just make his new weight class, he shined in it by pinning Edgerton freshman Travis Prator, but the Crimson Tide edged the Warriors 36-35 to win the dual meet.
