CLINTON - Just a reminder ... Kurtis Mansfield can light it up when provoked.
Mansfield, a senior for the Panthers, had 25 points - 19 in the second half - and broke out of a mini-slump as Juda took care of non-conference business on the road Monday in Clinton, 60-49.
Panthers head coach Andy Werner said Mansfield had been in a small slump offensively the past two games and that the guard was the benefactor of his teammates actively looking to get him involved.
"We got him on track," Werner said. "The kids worked hard at getting him the ball."
Juda extended its lead on the Cougars thanks to backup Jeff Rackow's active hands. Rackow had three straight offensive rebounds and putbacks over a three-minute span spanning the end of the first and the start of the second quarter.
"He ignited us," Werner said. "He was there to clean up."
The Panthers improved to 3-2 overall on the year as they gear up to resume Six Rivers East play on Thursday in Argyle.
"Hopefully tonight will go a long way," Werner said.
