BLANCHARDVILLE - Argyle freshman Jena Saalsaa scored a game-high 28 points to propel the Orioles to a 63-48 win over Pecatonica Friday night.

"She (Saalsaa) did a really good job of getting to the rim," Pecatonica coach Bobby Rose said. "We didn't do a good job of staying in front of her. That is the scouting report. She wants to go to the rim. We didn't execute."

Argyle (3-18, 2-8 Six Rivers East) led 35-27 at the half. The Orioles made 16 of 28 free throws but hit nine free throws late to seal the win. Pecatonica (1-18, 0-9) made just 15 of 34 free throws.

We just have to find a way to put the ball in the basket," Rose said. "We didn't execute on our free throws and open shots. At the end of the game, they (Argyle) made their free throws. Kudos to them."

Pecatonica senior Sam Erickson and sophomore Grace Keast both scored a team-high 12 points for the Vikings.
