MONROE - The accolades keep rolling in for the Juda softball team following the Panthers' run to their second straight sectional.
There were eight Juda players who received some form of Six Rivers East All-Conference recognition. Juda junior Amber Ramos and Barneveld's Taylor Ruchti were the Six Rivers East Conference Players of the Year. Ramos was a first team all-conference pitcher.
Juda finished the season 19-5 and won the conference for the third straight year. The Panthers lost to eventual state champion Oakfield 3-0 in a WIAA Division 4 sectional championship game.
The other Juda players named first team all-conference include senior catcher Megan Trotter, junior infielder Katlyn DeVoe, junior infielder C.J. Dunwiddie, senior outfielder Alycia Grenzow and sophomore utility player Jessica Rackow. Senior Aly Pierce and Lauren Dunwiddie were honorable mention selections.
Monticello had three players named first-team all-conference including junior pitcher Karlie Klossner, junior infielder Tanya Smith and senior outfielder Taylor Pfeuti. Argyle had two first-team all-conference players including senior catcher Jodi Fischer, sophomore infielder Kayla Ostby. Pecatonica's Ellie Gifford was first team as an infielder and Pecatonica's Michelle Francois was a first-team outfielder.
The Ponies had three players selected as honorable mention all-conference including freshman catcher Marissa Berg, junior Desiree Marty and Alyssa Zimmerman. Argyle's Jessica Treuthardt and Danielle Treuthardt were honorable mention selections. Albany's Kaitlyn Schulz and Megan Farley were also honorable mention picks.
Rock Valley South
Brodhead's Erika Stampfli was named the Rock Valley South Player of the Year and a first team all-conference pitcher.
Stampfli helped pitch the Cardinals to the sectional for the second straight year. Brodhead lost a WIAA Division 3 sectional semifinal to eventual state champion Poynette 2-1. The other first team all-conference players for the Cardinals include senior infielder Mariah Mohns, sophomore infielder Amanda Pickel and senior utility player Tia Collins.
Brodhead sophomore infielder Taylor Douglas, senior outfielder Jana Covert were second team all-conference. Shianne Strommen and Laurie Burns were both honorable mentions.
Capitol South
New Glarus, despite finishing the season 0-21, had two second-team all-conference players.
