No. 3 Vanguards cruise by Orioles

MAZOMANIE - Unbeaten Wisconsin Heights showed why it is one of the top-ranked teams in Division 4 while rolling to a 71-45 nonconference win over Argyle on Monday.

Wisconsin Heights (17-0), ranked third in the Associated Press Division 4 state poll, built a 41-20 lead by halftime.

Wisconsin Heights' Kristen Barman scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Vanguards.

Argyle sophomore Jena Saalsaa scored a team-high 19 points.

Wisconsin Heights' Haylee Adler added 16 points.

Argyle (7-13) will play at Black Hawk, ranked second in Division 5, at 7 p.m. Friday.



In other action, Weston defeated Pecatonica 36-21 in a nonconference game. Pecatonica drops to 0-18.
