Nine players named HTL All-Stars

MADISON - There will be nine area baseball players who will play in the Home Talent League All-Star Game Friday at the "Duck Pond," which is home to the Madison Mallards.

The game, which gets underway at 7:05 p.m., will combine players from the East and Southeast Divisions in a seven-inning affair against the North and West Divisions. It will feature at least one player from all 44 teams and it will celebrate the 81st year of Wisconsin's oldest amateur baseball league.

The local players on the North-West All-Stars include Monroe's Justin Hahn (pitcher and outfielder) and Griffin Rear, an infielder from New Glarus. Argyle will have two representatives in Jon Wild, infielder, and Jarret Bauman, pitcher. Wiota has two all-stars including Merrill Brunson, infielder, and Brad Schliem, outfielder.

Hollandale also has two all-stars in catcher Jerry Doescher and infielder Quinn Schultz. Blanchardville catcher Troy Ruegsegger will represent the Bullets.
