NEW GLARUS - The Knights rallied from 19 points down in the second half to knock off Barneveld in a nonconference game Thursday 84-79.
Jaden Kreklow was scoreless in the first half but scored 18 for New Glarus in the second to lead the comeback effort.
Cullen Brooks scored 17 for New Glarus, teammate Zach Feller chipped in 16 and Trevor Gassman added 11 for the Knights. Barneveld had four players in double digits as well, being led with Kauy Fargo's 24. Malcolm Reed had 18, Jacob Slaney 15 and Dayne Evans had 11. Jonas Ignatius finished the night with 9 for Barneveld.
The Knights won the turnover battle 24-8, the 3-point battle (10-5), the free throw battle (16/23 vs. 14/23) and forced defending state champion Barneveld to 17 turnovers in the second half. Over the final 9-plus minutes of the game, New Glarus outscored the Eagles 38-14. Barneveld led 40-27 at half before being outscored 57-39 in the second half.
Darlington 48, Pecatonica 42
BLANCHARDVILLE - After trailing 25-15 at halftime, Pecatonica stormed back to take a lead in the second half, only to have Darlington close it out at the end.
Colton Schraepfer scored just two minutes on a bum ankle for the Vikings. Schraepfer, Pecatonica's leading scorer, tried to play early on but the coaching staff decided it wasn't worth the risk.
Evan Prust led the Vikings (5-3) with 10 points and Jaden Hendrickson scored 9. Stryker Fitzsimons scored 13 points for Darlington (6-2) and teammate Carter Lancaster added 12.
Belleville 82, Albany 77
ALBANY - The Comets followed the lead of Corbin Kelley but came up just short against the Wildcats in a nonconference game Thursday.
Kelley scored 30 points to lead Albany, which had four players in double figures. Josh Dahl (15), Josh Shell (15) and Jamison Stauffacher (10) also scored in double digits. Dahl fouled out, while Shell and Kelley finished with four fouls.
Albany shot 14 of 19 from the charity stripe and hit nine 3-pointers. The Comets also led at halftime, 35-34.
Belleville went 24-for-28 from the free throw line, knocking down four 3s of their own. Drew Shrader scored 39 points to lead the Wildcats - 20 in the first half and 19 in the second.

CUBA CITY - New Glarus sophomore JayLynn Benson scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Glarner Knights to a nonconference win over Ridge Ridge-Scales Mound Tuesday at the Cuba City Tournament.
Benson made 5 of 8 free throws and the Knights shot 75 percent from the free throw line (12 of 16). New Glarus seniors Willow Lee and Julia Barnaby each added 14 points. With the win, New Glarus improves to 4-5 overall.
