BELLEVILLE - The New Glarus baseball team used a 10-run fifth inning to overcome an early 6-0 deficit and defeat Belleville 12-9 in a Captiol South Conference game Thursday.

Seniors Evan Hauge, and Aaron Nimtz, and sophomores Patrick Elzen and Tyler Molencamp each drove in two runs. Hauge (2-for-3), Nimtz (2-for-4), and Molencamp (2-for-4) all had a multiple hit game as the Glarner Knights (5-6, 4-3 Capitol South) banged out 12 hits.

Molencamp got the win in relief with four strikeouts in four innings of work.

Riverdale 4, Darlington 0

MUSCODA - Darlington junior Griffin Heinberg pitched well enough to keep his team in the game, but Riverdale's Riley Moriva was even better as the junior held the Redbirds to just two hits in a complete-game shutout.

Heinberg gave up six hits and three earned runs with two walks and five strikeouts. Darlington is 1-5 overall and 0-5 in the SWAL.
