MONROE - Matt Miller birdied three of his final four holes and carded a 34 to spark the Monroe boys golf team to a 156-166 victory against Oregon on Saturday at Monroe Country Club.
Kyle Bruce recorded a 38 for the third straight time at MCC, while Eric Timm had a 40, Jason Attkinson a 44 and Caleb Pagel a 46. The top four rounds are counted for the team score.
Monroe is 3-0 in Badger South Conference play.
"Matt Miller shot his first even-par round at Monroe Country Club," Monroe coach Brian Jensen said of the freshman.
"(Bruce) has been playing well, he just hasn't broke out and scored great," Jensen added. "Timm and Attkinson have been having average rounds and I feel that both will be improving as the season goes on."
