STOUGHTON - Monroe won the Badger South Conference girls track and field title for the second consecutive season at the conference meet Tuesday. The Cheesemakers outscored host Stoughton 136-116 for first place.
Monroe won five events, including three relays.
Jaclyn Ditter won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.92 seconds. Laura Chopp was crowned the champion in the pole vault, springing 9 feet, 6 inches.
Ty Gibson, Maria Eberle, Jess Miller and Brenna Bazley teamed up for the title in the 400 relay, finishing in 52.57 seconds. The foursome also teamed up for a second-place finish in the 800 relay (1:51.41).
Ditter, Tessa Frutiger, Molly Hlubek and Stephanie Wyss won the 1,600 relay with a time of 4:12.80.
Tess Seichter, Alexa Yurs, Lizzy Dale and Frutiger capped the Cheesemakers' titles with top spot in the 3,200 relay (10:04.68).
Wyss finished second in the 200 dash (27.46) and the 400 dash (1:00.87). Frutiger was second in the 800 (2:27.64) and Seichter was third in the 3,200 (12:31.43).
Fort Atkinson edged Oregon for third place (114.5-111.5). Edgewood (101) was fifth, Milton sixth (75) and Monona Grove seventh (40).
Monroe next takes to the starting blocks at Monday's WIAA Division 2 regionals in Orfordville.
