Warriors blow out Pec; Albany topples Juda; Argyle falls at PC

BLANCHARDVILLE — Bailey Butler, a junior, scored 20 points for Black Hawk in a 90-18 blowout at Pecatonica. She sits just four points away from 1,000 in her career. Butler could join brother Heath (a 2015 grad) and sisters Hannah and Paige (a 2009 grad) in the 1,000-point club against Argyle Dec. 20. Also in that club is teammate Natalie Leuzinger.

The top-ranked Warriors had little resistance against the Vikings from the get-go and went into halftime ahead 62-8.

Leuzinger scored 17 points, while Hannah Butler had 15 and Maddy Huschitt 11. The Warriors were 37 of 59 from the field (62.7%), including making 8 of 16 shots from 3-point land.

Lexi Peterson led Pecatonica with six points.


Albany 75, Juda 44

ALBANY — The Comets rolled past the Panthers in a Six Rivers East game Dec. 17.

Brianna Dahl finished with 23 points to lead Albany, while teammate Payton Wachholz had 18 and Emileigh Dallman 14. Kaiya Zurfluh and Jada Flannery each added eight points.

Taylor Golackson led Juda with 12 points, while Jocelyn Rufer had nine and Triniti Elmer eight.

Albany hit four 3-pointers, while Juda failed to hit a shot from deep. The Comets led 27-14 at halftime.


Potosi-Cassville 68, Argyle 47

POTOSI — The Orioles fell behind 38-22 at halftime and couldn’t recover in their nonconference loss Dec. 16.

McKenzee Granberg led Argyle with 14 points, while Maggie Godfrey had 12 and Grace Ganshert 10.

Potosi was 22 of 39 from the free throw line, while Argyle was 8 of 16.
