Pecatonica falls on the road, 74-45

BARNEVELD — Pecatonica found itself on the wrong end of a spicy first half on Dec. 7, as Barneveld went to work building a 19-point halftime lead en route to a 74-45 blowout win.

The Vikings scuffled in the opening stanza, falling behind 37-18 at the break. Barneveld continued the route of their Six Rivers East rival, out-pacing Pecatonica 37-27 in the second half to further the scoring difference.

Jameson Johnson led the Vikings with 11 points, while Tyler McKeon added nine. Charles Anderson tallied nine rebounds. Kasey Helgeson led all scorers with 20 points for Barneveld, and teammate Terek Marx added 12.

Brodhead 80, Clinton 70

BRODHEAD — The Cardinals needed the whole game to fend off the Cougars Dec. 7 in a Rock Valley contest. 

Gabe Bockhop scored 24 points to lead Brodhead’s offense, with Brody Riese (16), Jaxon Dooley (16) and Cullen Walker (10) all reaching double figures. Gunner Boegli added eight points, and Nathan Engen tallied 10 rebounds and six points.

Brodhead was 11-for-20 from 3-point land and out-rebounded Clinton 42-26. Reagan Flickinger led Clinton with 33 points, nine rebounds and five steals.

Lakeside Lutheran 67, New Glarus 43

NEW GLARUS — The Knights struggled in a Capitol South tilt Dec. 7, falling by 24 points.

Breckyn Thompson led the Knights with nine points, while Max Marty, Jake Roth and Brett Warrell tallied seven points each. Collectively, New Glarus shot 12-for-17 from the line.

The Warriors had three players in double digits: Wes Rahn (20), Kooper Misna (11) and Kaycee Guzman (10).

Argyle 56, Albany 34

ARGYLE — The Orioles doubled up the Comets in the first half, 24-12, and continued outscoring their Six Rivers East rival in a Dec. 7 matchup.

A trio of Orioles finished in double figures — Max Godfrey (15 points), Mason McNett (14 points) and Will Helfvogt (12 points). Ike Waage nabbed 12 rebounds. As a team, Argyle finished 11-for-15 from the charity stripe.

Drew Sertle paced Albany with 20 points, hitting four 3s along the way.

Monticello 50, Black Hawk 39

SOUTH WAYNE — The Ponies and Warriors exchanged the lead three times before a bucket in the paint from Alex Roe gave Monticello the lead for good in the second half.

Ryer Indergand was responsible for over half of Monticello’s offense with 28 points. He also led defensively with nine rebounds and three steals.

Andrew Figi paced the Warriors with 19 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double. Trae Hagen and David Wills combined for 13 points, while Lane Marty tallied 11 rebounds.
