NEW GLARUS — With its 75-41 win over Waterloo on Thursday, Feb. 15, eighth-ranked New Glarus clinched a perfect Capitol South Conference season and extended its winning conference winning streak to 21 games.
Lindsey Schadewalt led the Glarner Knights with 36 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. She was two steals shy of a triple-double.
ALBANY-MONTICELLO 40, BARNEVELD 32
BARNEVELD — The No. 4-ranked Comets ended their regular season slate with a Six Rivers East win over the Eagles.
Alana Durtschi led with 11 points and five rebounds. Dalana Trumpy and Anna Ellinger grabbed five rebounds each. AM did not allow Izabel Durst, the third-leading scorer in conference (15.4 ppg), to score.
BLACK HAWK 52, PALMYRA-EAGLE 30
PALMYRA — With its nonconference win over Palmyra Eagle on Saturday, Feb. 17, Black Hawk has now won 10 of its last 15 games.
In Saturday’s contest, Maddy Lange and Veronica Cheatham led the Warriors with 15 points each. Lange and Kendra Haldiman both grabbed nine rebounds.
EAST TROY 74, MONROE 23
EAST TROY — The Cheesemakers finished their Rock Valley Conference slate with a road loss on Thursday, Feb. 15. Abbey Matley led Monroe with seven points and seven rebounds.
In other local girls basketball action, Brodhead beat Evansville 55-49.
