LODI — Building upon their strong performance in the Badger Relays, the Monroe-New Glarus swim team found success in Lodi on Thursday and Saturday.
In its dual with Lodi, MNG captured the win 111-59. The Cheese-Knights won 10 events, took second in six and finished third in another five.
At the Lodi Invite, Monroe-New Glarus was first of five teams with 528 points. Lodi took second with 310 points. Not only did the invite mark a huge victory for the Cheese-Knights, but multiple swimmers improved upon their times from the same point in the season a year ago.
Amelia Geib dropped four seconds in the 200 IM and three seconds in the 100 backstroke. Delaney Lynch improved five seconds on the 100 butterfly, while Piper Faber shaved off seven seconds in the 200 freestyle. Megan Chapman bested her 500 freestyle time by a whole 10 seconds.
