MONROE — Dodging raindrops, Monroe ousted Milton in a Badger South track and field dual May 25. The boys team won handily, 91-27, while the girls narrowly pulled out in front, 74-72.
Monroe’s boys team won 13 of the 15 events. The girls team won 10 events. The girls’ 1,600-meter relay team won by just 5/100ths of a second, which helped secure the victory.

CC, Lancaster win 14-team Redbird Invite
DARLINGTON — Lancaster won the girls title and Cuba City the boys at the Redbird Invitational May 24.
In the girls team standings, Darlington was fifth, Albany seventh, Black Hawk eighth, Monticello 10th and Pecatonica-Argyle 12th. Darlington was also fifth in the boys standings, with Monticello seventh, Pec-Argyle ninth, Albany 12th and Black Hawk 13th.
Monticello’s Rudi Wicker won the boys 400-meter dash (54.52), with teammate Evan Guenther winning the 800 (2:03.48) and 1,600 (4:39.83). Guenther’s 800 mark broke the school record of 2:04.93 set by Reid Zanoya in 2011.
On the girls side, Monticello’s Hannah Clark won the 200 (28.01) by just 2/100ths of a second. Albany’s Jada Flannery won the discus (102-02).
