MONROE — Argyle graduate Mason Holcomb finished tied for 13th in the boys 16-18 division at the Wisconsin Junior PGA Tour event at The Oaks Golf Course July 23.
Holcomb finished the round at 10-over-par 81. He birdied the par-4 fourth hole, but triple-bogeyed the par-5 18th that dropped him from 10th to 13th place.
Former high school teammate Jeffrey Saether of Blanchardville shot a 26-over-par and finished 20th. Saether birdied the par-3 17th and collected four pars in his round.
In the boys 14-15 age group, Ty Ready of New Glarus finished tied for 27th with a 29-over-par 100, one shot ahead of Monroe’s Charlie Frehner and Henry Brukwicki. Frehner’s day was highlighted by a birdie on the par-5 fourth hole.
George Brukwicki, playing in the boys 12-13 division, finished 15th at 37-over-par with a 108, which included four birdies.
On July 25 at Whistling Straights, Cole Runde of New Glarus played his way to 28th in the boys 16-18 division. Runde shot a 30-over-par 102 at the world-renowned course.
