Brodhead nets 4 first-team selections; 5 J-A first-team picks

ARGYLE — Senior Grace Ganshert was named the 2022 Six Rivers East Conference Player of the Year for her efforts this spring, while her mother, Heidi, was named co-Coach of the Year.

The Orioles finished second in the conference behind Barneveld. Barneveld coach Jason Gordon shared Coach of the Year honors.

Argyle had two other players named first team all-conference with Grace, seniors Maggie Godfrey and Megan Johnson. Fellow seniors Jenny Helfvogt and Lindsay Connors were honorable mention selections.

Juda-Albany had five players honored with first-team selections: Brianna Dahl, Alana Durtschi, Avary Briggs, Ciarrah Davis and Myah Johnson. 

Pecatonica’s Niveah Gross and Tessa Green also made the first team, with teammates Trinity Gruenenfelder, Sam Ihm, Lexi Peterson and Chloe Schraepfer netting honorable mention honors.

Other honorable mention selections include: Anna Skoumal, Juda-Albany; Ellie Edler and Tatum Baumgartner, Black Hawk; and Dalana Trumpy and Katelyn Eyler, Monticello-New Glarus.


Rock Valley

Brodhead scored six all-conference selections this spring. Four picks were named to the first-team: McKenna Young, Ava Risum, Taetum Hoesly and Sophia Leitzen. Cora Hafen and Jaelyn Hilliard were honorable mention selections.


SWAL

Darlington senior Greta Volkening was named first-team all-conference, the lone Redbird selected to either the first or honorable mention teams.
