Monroe’s Keegan Dahmen announced Wednesday, Dec. 20 his commitment to continue his academic and baseball careers at UW-River Falls. When Dahmen got the offer from UWRF, he said he was “ecstatic. It was so surreal.” After visiting River Falls and watching a football game, Dahmen was impressed by “the beautiful campus and facilities. They are by far the best in Division III.” In June, UW-River Falls announced it would reinstate baseball after discontinuing the sport in 2002 in an effort to attract and retain students. Dahmen earned second-team all-conference for the 2023 season, leading the Cheesemakers in at-bats (57), runs scored (8), hits (19) and doubles (5). He also pitched, striking out a team-best 24 batters and recording a 5.47 ERA.
