SOUTH WAYNE — The Green Bay Packers recently announced they will host their 2nd annual Girls Flag on Saturday, April 13, and Black Hawk was one of ten teams randomly selected.

Other teams chosen include Appleton West, Kohler, Manitowoc Lincoln, Mercer, New Richmond, Oneida Nation, Stanley-Boyd, Turtle Lake and University Lake high schools.

Rosters must have a minimum of 12 girls with a maximum of 25 and up to five adult coaches. The Warrior roster is as follows: Kendra Haldiman, Keira Haldiman, Maddy Place, Mya Milz, Kaylee Hagen, Veronica Cheatham, Molly Edler, Keira Brunner, Riley Corley, Alyvia Ruegsegger, Reese Anderson, Kirsten Ladow, Maddy Lange, Emily Curran and Payton Stietz, managers Sadie Brown and Mia Breadon, coaches Cory Milz and Desmond Breadon and photographer/physical therapist Tonya Milz.

“The girls are pretty excited about it,” Breadon said.

Girls competing in the event will be treated to a welcoming speaker at Lambeau Field. From there they will receive a stadium tour and get to go through the Packers Hall of Fame. Following a complementary lunch, they will head across the street to the team’s indoor turf practice facility, the Don Hutson Center to really get things started. The girls will compete in several individual and team skills challenges that will test their speed, agility, and athleticism. Each team will then play three games in a jamboree style format.
