GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers began life without Brett Favre with a Cheesemaker twist.

Trevor Wild, 10, of Monroe, served as a water boy for Green Bay in the Packers' 20-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.

Wild said the experience as a water boy and stepping on Lambeau Field for his first Packers game was like a dream come true.

"It's fabulous," Wild said. "It feels pretty exciting."

Wild, a soon to be fifth grader at Northside Elementary School, will have a summer vacation story to share and will undoubtedly have the answer to any potential trivia question regarding the first team the Packers played after trading Favre to the New York Jets.

Wild earned his first trip to a Packers game at Lambeau Field with his father, Kevin Grenzow, after finding out Aug. 5 he won a Nicolet Water promotion. Few may have imagined a trip to the grocery store leading to so much drama. Wild's step mom, Deanna Grenzow completed a Nicolet Water promotional registration form in June at Piggly Wiggly.

"I thought it was a story," Wild said when he was informed he was selected.

Wild has his view on the Favre saga.

"He should have stayed retired," he said. "They are probably going to miss him. He is still a good football player."

For a father and son, the Packers game was a thrill.

"It's kind of a once-in-a- lifetime thing," Kevin Grenzow said. "There are not many people who get to do this. Maybe his parents were a little more excited than he was. I will probably remember it for the rest of my life."
