MILWAUKEE - Juda's girls basketball team opened up against a Division 1 opponent Friday, Milwaukee South Division, and walked away with a rousing 60-16 win.
"It's hard to say how to take it," Panthers head coach Curtis Brown said. "I talked to their coach and he said that they have a hard time keeping girls in the program."
Juda led 22-2 after the first quarter and 33-3 at halftime.
Sophomore Ellen Kiser led all scorers with 15 points, Heather Boeke had 12 and Rachel Bartles added nine.
The Panthers (1-0) will play in the South Milwaukee tournament finals tomorrow against the winner of Milwaukee South and Campbellsport.

CLINTON - The Panthers took one on the chin in their season opener at the Clinton Thanksgiving Tournament.
Lake Mills jumped out to a 24-6 lead after the first quarter and led 37-15 at halftime.
Aaron Duecker scored 14 points for Juda, Joey Jordan had 10 and Brandon Bauman added eight, including a pair of 3-pointers.
